Types of Learning

Synchronous Learning

Synchronous learning refers to a learning event in which a group of students are engaging in learning at the same time, in real-time.

Synchronous learning happens through live video, chats, and instant messaging to provide immediate feedback and support for learners.

Asynchronous Learning

Asynchronous Learning involves coursework delivered by the internet, recorded video, email, Google Tools, and others resources.

Asynchronous learning is self-paced with a specific due date for completion.

Synchronous learning should only occur during scheduled school hours and students must be notified at least 24 hours in advance to have the opportunity to participate.

Recordings of all synchronous learning will be posted and accessible for students to view any time.
